UNIQA and Finlex join forces in financial lines sector
More than 140 platform users already benefit from Finlex’s digital marketplace, which went live in Austria in May 2022. UNIQA is now the first Austrian insurance company to join the seven existing D&O insurers in the D&O insurance division of the platform. UNIQA’s focus is clearly on SME customers.
All of UNIQA’s relevant underwriting rules are portrayed in the platform’s algorithm. Therefore, brokers can calculate UNIQA quotes in real time and offer them to customers. The quote and proposal bear the broker’s logo. For revenues of up to EUR 50 million and insured sums up to and including EUR 3 million, policies can be concluded immediately via the platform in many cases; an indicative offer will be created for larger companies. Existing customers even receive a discount of ten percent.
“Joining forces with Finlex fits perfectly into UNIQA’s digitalisation strategy. The fact that even complex commercial and industrial products such as D&O can now be processed digitally is also a welcome innovation for us. That’s why we are delighted to be the first Austrian insurer on the Finlex platform,” says Peter Humer, Board member, Customer & Market Austria, UNIQA Insurance Group AG.
“The cooperation with the UNIQA Financial Lines team under the leadership of Andreas Wimmer is characterised by consummate professionalism and mutual high esteem. The fact that a market-leading Austrian insurance company such as UNIQA is now represented on the Finlex platform with its D&O offering is greatly appreciated by our partner brokers”, says Dr Peter Loisel, Country Head Austria for Finlex GmbH.
